Meeting with a designer can be a fun and exciting time. You’re showing them pictures of things you like and don’t like about other houses, you’re sharing your dreams for what you want your future home to look like, what you want it to do, and how you want it to feel. You’re bearing your soul to somebody in hopes that the drawings meet your expectations. The big day comes and for the first time you get to see some concepts of what the architect interpreted from your desires. When the first pictures are revealed, you expect excitement, only you find great disappointment. The architect didn’t draw your home, they drew their own!
Perhaps they have a design in mind that they’ve been hoping to coax somebody into buying, or maybe they have a project in the works that they really need to sell and they hope you’ll bite. Either way, when you’re buying a custom home, this kind of thing is super frustrating. You didn’t come to this point, with all your dreams and desires carefully laid out only to find that the person you’re talking too still just wants to build their own home on your dime.
We will do everything in our power to build the custom home that you want. Our architects are trained to listen to you, to give you what you’re looking for. Sure, they may embellish the concept drawings by adding a water feature or changing the shape of the room a little bit, just to see what the space is capable of, but when you see your house for the first time, you should see YOUR HOUSE for the first time.
